The beautiful Hollywood starlet Leslie Brooks spent summers at the Argo Hotel as a child. Dedicated to her, this suite is themed in early Hollywood glamour and displays clippings of her career. With a jacuzzi bath, an elegant sitting room, fireplace, writing desk and access to the front balcony, the Leslie Brooks suite provides a relaxing getaway from the chaos of life.

The Argo Hotel's namesake was a 19th century Norwegian ship, the Argo, which brought the ancestors of Nick Michaelis, the hotel's founder, to America in the early 1800s. In honor of that great barque, this room, with queen-bed and private bath, is themed in Old World nautical style. Close your eyes and you can almost smell the salt spray and hear the creak of the old ship rolling toward the New World.

Part of the town of Crofton's history includes Bogner's Steakhouse, which unfortunately burned down. It was famous all over the mid-west for its delicious steaks, libations and musical entertainment. The matriarch of this family was Marcella Bogner, a beloved lady that loved to entertain. Named in her honor, this queen-bed room has an adjoining sitting room with a daybed and trundle for extra space for lounging or sleeping. Here's to you, Marcella!

Bon'jour Mon'Amie! Close your eyes and dream of walking down the Champs-Elysees, the main street in Paris, in the Evening in Paris Room which celebrates the beauty and charm of this French city. The words Champs-Elysees mean “Elysian Fields,” which is a reference to Greek mythology, and refers to the part of the Underworld where virtuous souls rested for all eternity. Come and rest your “virtuous soul”. Through the multi-paned French door, a recently upgraded bathroom awaits you to lavishly indulge yourself, complete with bidet and a made-for-two, double-headed shower.

The famous historical figures, Lewis & Clark, began their westward trek near St. Louis, Missouri and traveled along the Missouri River. The expedition departed in May, 1804 and lasted until September, 1806. They continued on their journey west and camped not far from the Argo Hotel's location. Eight miles from the hotel is Calumet Bluff, the site where Lewis and Clark held council with Indian leaders in 1804.

Unlike these early explorers, today's travelers can enjoy the comfort of a queen bed in the main room of the suite, with a daybed and trundle in the adjoining sitting room for extra guests. Private bath has a large shower.

Black locomotives belching smoke and hissing steam came into Crofton when it was a railroad town. A railroad boom started in 1906 and eventually six trains arrived every day. The sound of the mournful whistle-song was a call the Argo Hotel knew well in its early history.

The Railroad Room, with a queen-size bed and en suite bath, is dedicated to the great iron horse that gave rise to the Argo Hotel.

Famed outlaws like Frank and Jesse James and the Younger brothers hid out in the Devil's Nest which is located just a few miles north of the Argo Hotel. With a queen bed, private bath with over-sized shower and built-in seat, the Jesse James Suite adjoins a sitting room with access to the front balcony. Stop in and rest your giddy-up!

The Historic Argo Hotel is an exclusive property where every guest reservation is both important and special to us. If your travel plans change and you must cancel your reservation, please call us at least 3 (three) days prior to your arrival date to cancel your reservation.

In the unlikely event that you must cancel with less than 3 (three) days’ notice, shorten your stay or check out early, please understand that we must ask you to take responsibility for your entire reservation. If we can rebook your room(s), a refund will be made less a $50 processing fee.
    
Check-in: 3:00 PM - 7:00 PM.  If arriving outside of check-in times, please call to make arrangements.

Check-out: 11:00 AM.  Unless prior arrangements have been made, a late check-out will result in a charge for an additional day.

Absolutely No Smoking anywhere inside the facility; however designated outdoor smoking areas are available.

No Pets. Please call for help in making arrangements to board your pet locally.

Children.  Due to the number of antiques in the facility, children must be 12 or older to stay.
